Byzantine mosaic on a wall in the magnificent 12th century Norman cathedral, built for King William II in Monreale, about 8 km south-west of Palermo. The interior is completely covered by magnificent gilded mosaics, the work of Byzantine artists. In this scene Adam and Eve are expelled from Paradise.
