Previous Dili, the capital of Timor Leste

The statue of Christ, unveiled by Soeharto in 1988, is 27 m high, symbolising the 27 provinces of Indonesia, including East Timor at that time. It stands on the summit of Cape Fatucama, at the eastern end of the bay, about 5 km from Dili.
