Children of Haiti

In Haiti less than half of the country's school-age children attend primary school, and therefore the rate of literacy is low, only 45 percent. But children are resourceful and have fun as everywhere else. They may have to help heir parents from an early age but there is also plenty of opportunity to play and they make the most of it. Friendly and curious, they welcome visitors and enjoy having their picture taken as these images show.
