After the overthrow of the Duvalier regime the red and blue flag was reestablished. The original coat of arms was reintroduced, but smaller in size: the width of the rectangle is one-fifth the flag's width. However, flags with much larger rectangles may be seen, so this does not seem to be hard and fast rule.
